Spinal Manipulation Recommended for Back
Pain…Chiropractors are Experienced
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality 2020 Report states
that spinal manipulation is one of the effective, non-invasive,
non-pharmacological treatments for low back pain relief that improved
function and/or pain for more than one month. (1) Yoga, exercise, psychotherapy,
low-level laser therapy, massage, MBSR, acupuncture made
the list. The chiropractic profession encompasses back pain
specialists who competently deliver spinal
manipulation. Chiropractic education concentrates on the management
of spine pain and delivery of spinal manipulation. Many people think
of chiropractic for back pain relief. 22 million
Americans see chiropractors annually. 35% do that
for back pain relief after sports and accident injuries, and muscle strains. Neck pain, arm pain, leg pain, and headache
are other spine related problems people for which they visit chiropractors. (2) Fifteen percent of Australians visit
a chiropractor annually. (3) 4.5 million Canadians see
a chiropractor annually. (4) Chiropractors like your

Montreal CHIROPRACTIC TIP OF THE MONTH: Strengthen the Quadratus Lumborum
The quadratus lumborum – a quadrilateral-shaped muscle - is
a paired muscle on the left and right side of the abdominal
wall. It is a deep muscle and typically considered a back muscle as it stretches from the 12th rib to
the upper 4 lumbar vertebrae. When
contracted, the quadratus lumborum causes lateral flexion
of the lumbar spine and/or rise of the pelvis. (5) Various bridge-type exercises are being examined as to how they strengthen the quadratus lumborum’s dual
layers of muscle in order for it to best add to the motor
control of the lumbar pain and stop back pain. (6) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic
and you can discuss how your spine may benefit from such
exercise at your next Montreal chiropractic visit to Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic.
