“Must I exercise?”
“Only exercise if you want to feel
better faster and prevent pain,“ your Montreal
chiropractic encourages.
“How much time do I have to spend exercising each day?”
“Not long, just effectively,” Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic
suggests.
Exercise is not every Montreal back pain or neck
pain patient’s ’thing’. Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic knows.
Exercise is also so key to our back and neck pain
patient’s recovery and future prevention of the pain. We are with our Montreal
chiropractic patients all along the way to get
the most of the exercise effort so that it results in pain prevention
and relief.
OPTIMAL NECK PAIN EXERCISE GUIDES
Neck pain sufferers realize how pain
may decrease their ability to look around
comfortably. Such neck pain patients were assessed for
their cervical range of motion and pain intensity with a flexion-rotation test.
They were then directed to do a 20-minutes cervical spine
exercise session. 50% of them were then additionally
treated with manual therapy applied to the C0-C1 and C2-C3 cervical spine
levels. Those who performed the exercise program and received
manual therapy managed significantly
better as far as range of motion, pain intensity reduction,
and the flexion-rotation test. (1) Another study found
that the optimal stretching time of cervical muscles in patients with chronic
myofascial pain syndrome was 30 seconds as contrasted with 15
or 60 seconds or no stretching. This permitted the best
benefit to pain intensity decrease while diminishing
any negative effects on neural function of the affected
nerve roots and central nervous system. (2) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic always stresses
that the appropriate exercise performed in proper form does not have to take long to be useful!
Additionally, exercise puts some control in the
hands of its sufferer since exercise can be done anytime.
OPTIMAL LOW BACK PAIN EXERCISE GUIDES
Incorporating exercise training into the
multidisciplinary treatment of non-specific chronic low back pain makes
sense. This type of back pain involves so many
people globally and is a foremost
source of disability. Proper exercise training transitions the back
pain patient to self-management. Recently, researchers proposed
that pain intensity and disability - and even mental health issues
in such back pain patients - were improved with options
like resistance and aerobic exercise while Pilates, resistance exercise, yoga,
and stabilization exercise. (3) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic agrees! Exercise is valuable
in so many ways.
